ARS RECENT NEWS RELEASE: ARS Announces
Strategic Initiative to Further Develop it's Patented Hydrocapsule® and
Patent-Pending Polymer Gel Technology.
ARS' patented Hydrocapsule®
technology, a polymeric capsule capable of sustaining
aqueous solutions for extended periods of time, and initially
developed to feed nutritional diets and water to beneficial insects
(good bugs that eat pest bugs) for mass release into the environment
as one of the USDA's Insect Pest Management (IPM) strategies for
alternative methods to traditional pesticides, has shown the ability
to deliver other water-based solutions for many other applications. Oral vaccines, liquid
diets, pesticides, herbicides, among others, have long posed a
lucrative market in connection with this technology. This enabling
technology is a method of aqueous controlled delivery using a UV
polymerized coating that is impervious to humidity and water
degradation issues commonly known with gelatin capsules. Potential
applications include Hydrocapsules disguised as a food or water
source enabling a way of delivering dosages of insect poisons,
viruses or insect growth regulators to foraging fire ant
colonies. The Hydrocapsule technology has also shown to have
potential applications in the aquaculture (fish farm) industry as a
transport method to deliver liquid diets, dosages of antibiotics and
other medicines to fish. ARS, in a parallel
effort, is attempting to incorporate a new patent-pending polymer
gel technology in each of these areas of application. As its
strategic initiative, the Company intends to approach these and
several other markets in the upcoming months. For additional
information regarding the foregoing and other continuing
developments, please contact Michael Pitsokos, in ARS's business
development office at 678-234-843.
